About Witchford Amateur Dramatics Society
Established in 2002, largely as the result of the temporary closure of the village pub, Witchford
Amateur Dramatics Society (WADS), is now a flourishing theatrical and social group.
Our first production, Aladdin, in 2003, was staged on a shoestring budget with a team that had
collectively done little theatre. Aladdin proved a great hit with the audience though, and from that
the society grew rapidly. It is fair to say that most of our shows are large affairs, with cast
numbers around a hundred, and an equally large production team. Whether as a performer,
director, producer, musician, seamstress, carpenter etc, etc, we have got a role for you. Come
and try your hand at something new, work hard, learn, but have great fun in the process and make
lots of new friends.
Of course, if you want to just sit and watch we would be delighted to see you at our next show.
As a not for profit organisation our tickets are always well priced, designed to meet our costs and
enable further theatrical opportunities. So come along, support your friends and neighbours and
have a great time watching theatre.
